DSP Team Blog Hop Halloween in Mind

There is still a few days left to take advantage of October's DSP offer from Stampin Up! This month Stampin Up! have been running a promotion on DSP(Designer Series Paper).
There is a 15% discount on selected designs and so some of the Tantalizing Stampers team members have been showing you different craft ideas to use your DSP. This will be the last week of this month's team blog hop but please do look out for future Tantalizing Stampers blog hops!
I have got Halloween in mind for this week's craft projects. Halloween is always a special time in my family as it's my mother's birthday. I have never had an excuse for forgetting it!
Please take a few minutes to explore what we have all been up to whilst lockdown tightens its grip even more in the UK and other parts of Europe!

This week I have a couple of workshops planned and one is for children. So with this in mind I have created a card and treat bag using the Have a Hoot bundle (155208). I love this bundle as it has potential to be used not only at Halloween but for Christmas too. I think that it is appealing to both adults and children don't you? I have paired the bundle with Plaid Tidings DSP (153257)

This paper displays the use an array of Autumnal colours including Cinnamon Cider, Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze.

I have used one of the plaid sheets of DSP as a matting sheet and highlighted my cheeky owl on a large Daffodil Delight circular moon, cut using the layering circles dies (151770).  I have used blends marker pens to colour in the owl and then die cut him and mounted on a dimensional. The scary spider has been done in the same way. You can have fun sending Halloween cards or using them for seasonal birthdays. Guess what's going to be on my mother's card?

Why not surprise your trick or treaters by making special treat packages?

Why not surprise your trick or treaters by making special treat packages? This way there is a little less handling of your your treats as well as looking very smart.  I even cut an extra spider's web embellishment from the dies in this bundle!

I hope that you all have a fun and safe Halloween night on Saturday. This year we are going to an online event with friends that we are not allowed to meet with in the flesh!

DSP Team Blog Hop

There are still a couple of weeks left to take advantage of this month’s DSP offer from Stampin Up! This month Stampin Up! is running a promotion on DSP(Designer Series Paper).
there is a 15% discount on selected designs and so some of the Tantalizing Stampers team members have got together again this week in another blog hop to show you even more ideas of how you can use
DSP in your craft projects.
Please take a few minutes to explore what we have all been up to whilst lockdown tightens its grip in the UK and other parts of Europe!

A dear friend turned 70 this week so I chose to use one of my current DSP favourites - Flowers for Every Season (6”x6”). As this paper comes pre cut this determined the size of the card. In order to allow a 1/4” border the card is 61/4”x5”. Most of the sheets in this pack have coordinating patterns on each side. But on this occasion I chose to use two separate sheets. Making zig zag cards such as this one are a great way to use up spare pieces of DSP!

As you can see the third piece of DSP is stuck to the Misty Moonlight card base and the sentiment is taken from my newly acquired stamp set Many Mates. I was looking for a set the would update my sentiment collection and this fits the bill perfectly. So much so that another friend has also “just had to buy it!”

This was a special birthday and so just to remind my friend how special it was I made the ’70' from the Playful Alphabet dies and then cut out the exact size dimensional from the new foam adhesive sheets, which is much easier than trying to make the pre cut dimensional pieces fit. The sentiment was stamped onto Whisper white card stock which was cut using the Label Me Lovely punch.

I have listed all the materials below and hope that you might try a zig zag fold card.

DSP Blog Hop October 2020

Hello and welcome to the very first post on my new blog. I am so pleased that you have managed to find me and I hope that you will drop by again soon.

This month Stampin Up! is running a promotion on DSP(Designer Series Paper).
there is a 15% discount on selected designs and so some of the Tantalizing Stampers team members have got together in this blog hop to show you a few ideas of how you can use
DSP in your craft projects.

I have made a fun gate fold card using Playful Pets DSP. The furry friends are sure to bring fun and joy to your crafting projects.

For the card base I have used Real Red card stock whilst the sentiment has been stamped in Real Red ink on Whisper White card stock and mounted on Real Red. I have used the Label Me Lovely punch to cut out the sentiment.

Please press on the video below and if you watch carefully you can see how the mechanism for this card works and the cute little dog jump up! The actual dog image has been cut out of one of the sheets of DSP in the pack.

Do you live in the UK? If so, I would love to be your demonstrator. I can help you, if  you would like to purchase any of the items that I have used in this project, which I have listed  below for you. Please do contact me and these can be added to my next order.
